Business Description:
A unique shopping experience, the buildings were upcycled from Wadena’s old poultry hatchery – which, “back in the day” was an active hub employing many of the locals and their heritage.
In 2005, four confident vendors hosted its humble public opening – visited mainly by the curious who were hankering to engage the knowledge of “what was going on at the ole hatchery.” They sold from inside a dimly lit building which was yet adorned with feathers on the walls. Every weekend they returned to their stands, never wavering to despair.
These days, the market welcomes back the shoppers who indulged their curiosity and favorably enlightened their families and friends. It is hosted by a sample of the Midwest’s very best vendors who strive to maintain unique inventory, currently filling four buildings with uncommon finds. Feathers omitted.
